New guy here - here's my AR

For my first post here, I thought I'd post a shot of my AR. I think I have it just about set up how I want it.

Olympic Lower (I know, I know. I'll be replacing it, probably with a Sun Devil)
LaRue 18" Stealth upper with Miculek muzzle brake
    LaRue FUG forward grip
Trijicon Accupoint TR21 in a LaRue SPR-E mount
    Magpul MIAD grip
    Magpul UBR stock

    Looks like a nice set-up.

I wouldn't get too wrapped around the axle about the lower. If it is in spec and has a good mag-well, then it will serve host to the rest of the high quality gear you have quite nicely.
SSGN- my new home under water. Capable of delivering150 Tomahawk missles, 90 Spec-ops operators and most importantly, I get to have a real medical space...with a door and everything!

I don't know, technically. It started life last year as an Olympic K16. The only thing that remains is the lower.

    Thumbs up

It's cool that people so far have been intelligent enough to not flame the receiver. It's obvious that it's a professional configureation, and modified in a practical fashion. A lower is a lower as far as I'm concerned, matter of fact, the cheaper, and more available the better. To a point anyhow. But anyway that looks like a nice rig and I'm jealous of your optics.

Thanks. I actually just got the scope and mount in the mail today. I was running an Aimpoint and a scope in separate LaRue mounts for different applications, but decided to go with one optic to do everything. I'll be taking it to the range tomorrow. I'm loving the TR21 just from messing around with it here at home. The reticle is very bright, and I have no problem getting the gun up and on target quickly even with the 1.25x lowest setting. I'll probably upgrade to the true 1-4x TR24 when it becomes available, though.

Very nice! I'm waiting and saving for the TR24 too.. Here's the million dollar question, how does it shoot?

I'll let a picture do the talking. Here's 5 shots at 100 yards with hand loads.
