    Air Force M4 Rail System

Here is a photo taken in the past couple of weeks showing a female member of US Air Force Security. Can anyone identify the rail system on this M4?

I have blocked her identity since she is my daughter-in-law, and she deploys to Afghanistan later this year.

    Thanks,

It is the Fobus M44 I believe. It is a plastic set of guards with rails molded in it.

That's definitely not an Air Force rail system. That must be an individual unit purchase. The KAC M4 RAS is the standard rail system, that is, the one in the supply chain for the Army and Air Force.

Why any unit would allow that is beyond me.

It is the Air Force... We do airplanes not guns... You should see the comedy at the gates most days - thigh holsters that drop below the knee or items on the belt directly above the pistol that would almost make it impossible to draw.

I was at a gun shop near base the other day. The Security Forces Squadron commander was there and admitted he knew nothing about guns outside what he was issued...

Let's clarify...It's the regular Air Force.

Probably due to some shmoe in the Armory trying to save money.
