Since when did this turn into a tread about Cabelas. I was mearly stating where they can be purchased and yes was a little unhappy about it.
But, somebody (cough) had go and accuse me of throwing the Cabelas Corporate Dynasty under the buss because I had one bad experience. I love Cabelas! I just bought an AR and Five-Seven there the other day.
I'm not blaming them I just think I got ripped on this purchase and especially since you can get the Magpul MOE's for $30!!!
I'm new here, I get that but I don't like accusational posts made to create drama. And, my response was just meant to be funny not to offend didn't I get any laughs?

I think the point is, you seem to be blaming Cabelas for selling the CAA rail to you. In the above post, you called it, one bad experience, why? Did they lie to you? Talk you out of something else and into this? Did you pay to much? A quick look at Midways catalog shows $100 is in the ball park of what they cost.

So why do you feel slighted by Cabelas?

2W0-- I think your old enough to be a 461.

I made it out the door with out getting one of those new uniforms. What a waste.

All the SP/SF M4's that I saw before I left had the standard KAC rails and covers. If IRC they only had the covers on the side and all of them had the VFG in the same spot. They were told to put them there. Most of them were sporting the standard sling and a few troops were trying to wear it like a tac sling; carbines across their chest so tight that there was no way they were going to be able to engage anyone.

I had to laugh reading this... You guys should see some of the systems cops carry... I never understood why some of those guys pay good money for Colt 6920's and then add CAA bullchit. I have seen those same handguards on a Troopers weapon at the range last year. They are in fact CAA.

I really hate to say this, but the facts are the facts. Alot of cops buy 6920's and add so much cheap airsoft chit on them, just to show off. Most of them have only a couple mags, and only shoot it when its required for qualification. I have seen CAA, Leapers, Fobus/Samco, tarpco (sp), and freakin UTG. Its sickening to see, and even worst to witness them on the range, having chit fall off rails, cheap RDS's stop working, only to say "Piece of shit colt"

Thankfully my partners and I train every week, and only use good, tried, and true, kit. I trust everyone of them on any call. We spend lots of money and time at the range. The only way I can describe it, is if we can dream it up, we train for it. It has saved our asses before, and im certain it will again.

Cheap-ass cops, .mil, or anyone else has no business using a system where lifes are at stake, if they insist on using Gosh Damn UTG chit, and don't train. nuff said.

Just roll through any gate at Quantico, you'll see plenty, in SERPAs that are hung with the hanging straps straight down instead of spread outward on the belt like the design calls for. Don't even get me started with the sheer lunacy our own air wingers pull.

Plenty of room to point fingers and giggle.

The problem for many is that it is not their choice to put that shit on there, and airmen like this unassuming gal is probably forced to use it. That's hardly her fault, and by God it is her (our) business to do with it what we can. Just like my unit's decision to make mandatory the wear of some chincy chest harness instead of the formerly issued eagle vests. It is bullshit, but once they finally make me stop wearing my eagle vest, I will adapt to the so-call defensor fortis LBE.

It is sad when I, as a civilian, with no training or combat time, has better equipment on my weapons than our men and women in uniform (.Mil and Police)

This is why you never let pencil pushers make decisions about equipment that a person's life depends on.

Ok, so I think there is at least one SF/ CATM person here. Why didn't the unit just get rail systems though the stock system like most everyone else does?
