There is a Nike baseball practice bag I have my eye on at Academy. I was planning on using a large sheet of kydex, and basically make a "tub floor" with Kydex. Then use Gorilla Glue to put some foam in the bottom.

That should help with rattling, and protect the optic on the rifle.
the nike bag i was looking at at sports authority was going to run like $38 plus tax. I'm thinking i'm going to make a "backer board" with straps to help hold the weapon in place. gorilla glue is very nasty stuff. it DOES NOT COME OFF.

I simply just put my rifle in a soft case. Then, I put my soft case in the discreet carry bag.

Indeed. That is exactly why I am going to use it to attach the closed-cell foam to the Kydex, so that it will not come off in the Texas heat.

It gets a bit toasty here in August.

    Interesting idea.

Ive been looking for something for discrete carry of items from Point A to Point B.

Might have to give this some serious thought.

    thanks for posting.

Just an FYI, the packs are now on sale (50% off). The Voodoo bag, in question, is on sale for $30. I've ordered one and should be in by late next week.

    My Discreet Carry bag

This is a Razor scooter bag I picked up from a guy who bought a couple extra ones while visiting family in BC, Canada. I haven't found them being sold anywhere in the US. It fits my 6920 with no room to spare lengthwise, but it does have another long pocket that would fit another carbine. There is a bottom outside pocket that fits 3 30rd magazines as well as a small middle pouch that fits my cleaning kit, sight tool, etc and a top pouch that fits more 30rd magazines.

    outside of bag

back of bag with shoulder straps

inside of bag with rifle secured

    rifle on top for comparison

    Reddevil,
That Razor bag looks pretty cool - I did a google search and came up empty. I don't suppose you were able to find another source for them either? Ironically, I've been known to use the cardboard box my son's Razor came in to transport extra uppers.

    Kalisig/Seriousstudent,
There are several $30 hockey bags on sale, which one of them have you guys ordered? Thanks
