Federal 64gr LE Tactical TRU as a defensive/duty round?

This may have been covered previously, and I apologize if that is the case, what is the consensus regarding Federal's 64gr softpoint LE Tactical TRU as a defensive/duty round for a 5.56mm carbine? This is their non- bonded line.

    Thanks!

Works fine if you don't need to shoot through autoglass...it should make the 12 inch penetration mark with good expansion and some moderate fragmentation...definitely will NOT do the job against autoglass, however...Federal's own test data has it blowing apart and only penetrating like 6 inches after hitting autoglass...I have a buddy who uses this as a hunting load for whitetails and it's given him perfectly satisfactory performance...nowhere near the performance of the 62 gr Trophy Bonded Bearclaw, however.

Here's one of Federal's old catalogs with their test shots for the load, which is the "223L" :

As noted (https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=19881), the Federal 64 gr TRU JSP (T223L) works fine for unobstructed shots--very similar to the Win Ranger 64 gr JSP (RA223R2).

    .223 Federal 64 gr TRU JSP (T223L) from a 16" 1/7 twist:
    BG: vel = 2747 f/s, pen = 11.2", max TC = 5.1" @4.9" depth, RD = 0.35", RL = 0.29", RW = 32.2 gr
