Remington? Was that just a mistake, or did I miss something?

It said Bushmaster earlier and was deliberately edited later, apparently, so not a mistake.

Can't say I've heard of that before though..

Cerberus can call it the Dodge ACR for all I care... Just get it built already!

Yeah, I could've sworn the first time I saw it that it said Bushmaster. Perhaps Bushmaster was in over their heads and passed it off.

Caporider, I agree, let them call it what they want, as long as I can get my hands on one and it's everything I expect it to be! (Although, I'd have ZERO faith in it if it was branded a Dodge! )

Bushmaster and Remington are under the same umbrella. This looks/sounds like a marketing angle.

I think Cerebrus wants Remington to be the "Mil/LE" side of the house.

This is a Remington ACR -- the military version. Bushmaster is doing the more mainstream version.

    So..

The ACR is being redesigned to be a superior offering to compete for the next generation US Army infantry carbine and subcompact weapon requirement and will be available to select customers in 2009.
That sounds outdated now. Any reason why the unwashed commoner version from BM shouldn't be released?
