Thanks Shihan. Where do I find the torque values, and can I do the staking myself, or should it be taken to an armorer?........OR, should I just ship the weapon back to Stag, if I feel that these things have not been properly established at the factory, and have THEM do it......it is under warranty after all.......

If only THEY took staking that seriously!

If you trust the 'smitty at the shop where you bought it, maybe you could have him break it down for you - explain some of the basic differences between the M4 and your old M16 - and take a look at your staking job while he's at it.

As others have noted, you're going to have fun learning the differences, and enjoying how much the overall quality of civilian rifles has improved, over what you carried during the Cold War. And welcome to the board!
