    Boresight Solutions G19

I recently had a G19 done by Ben Simonson at Boresight Solutions, and meant to post a review here; it took me a few weeks. Here goes.

As you can see in the 3 pictures below, what was done includes a grip reduction, grip stipple, undercut the trigger guard, remove finger grooves, and the "glove bevel" (slightly enlarge and bevel the interior of the trigger guard). He also put a little bit of a bevel in the magwell and turned that back gap into a ramp. If you wanted more or less done, he does it on an item-by-item basis, so this isn't really any special "package" of jobs. It changed my G19 from "functional-yet-awkward" to "functional-and-awesomely-ergonomic".

You can see the difference in the grip angle when comparing it to the blue gun below.

How would that stippling feel against exposed skin, like when carrying IWB in the summer?

Feels fine so far; it's a much finer stippling than it appears; not abrasive on your ribs at all. I will admit that I'm 5'11", 185lbs, so I don't really have Dunlop's disease.

How much for the work? How long was the wait?

Can you post a pic of the back and a bottom shot of the magwell? I have a couple glocks I want to send away immediately.

I believe ben offers a couple different textures to suit your needs.

Most of his textures are just grippy enough to ensure that you dont lose your firing grip on your pistol but not abrasive enough where you're tearing apart your hands.

He does great work and honestly, the man takes a glock and turns into something else.

    Roided out glocks=awesome.

Correct. The default texture is Med, which is what JSebens got. I can do fine or coarse as well. Coarse is similar to 20 LPI checkering.

Here's a couple of pics a client was kind enough to send me recently. Sorry for the hijack, J.

Prices are on my website. Right now I'm trying for a 5 week turnaround. I've been pretty inundated since SHOT, and turnaround times were getting stretched, but I'm taking steps that I hope will get me back to the quick turnarounds of days gone by.

I'll look around to see if I have any magwell pics. But what you'll see is a seamless solid plastic loading ramp. No hole, no fiberglass.

I love the look of that rounded trigger guard. Is that a pic of the fine or course texture? It looks like course.

IIRC that was medium texture, like JSebens'. I think it's the light the guy used for the pic that makes the texturing look more prominent.
