[HEAVY SARCASM] It may be true since the current waiting list even for just an upper is more than 2-months. [/HEAVY SARCASM]

Maybe he means that since the supply does not seem to be catching up with the demand that a lot of dealers are n longer selling ARs (which would make sense).

In fact, I just bought an M&P there a few weeks back.

I agree with another poster that he just wanted to sell a Kimber. I have a hard time believing that there is no more market.
Depends on what area you consider mid-town, but from your description of product brand, then I'm betting this is the shop that's real close to a BIG home improvement store. I don't go in there very often because of a previous bad experience dealing with them. But, every time I do go in there, they seem to be trying to sell somebody a Kimber.

OK, 41st between Sheridan and Memorial But yes, thats the place.
When he was talking to me on the phone, he really had the attitude that I was just pissin in the wind even talking about an AR. I was actually quite shocked.

Doesn't surprise me a bit. There's one guy in particular in there and he seems to think a lot of himself and his so-called gunsmithing skills. I'd bet money that's who you were talking to.

Everything is in cycles. Before the election, pistols were not selling & AR's were. Now SOME AR's have come down in price (not LMT or Noveske), but pistols (like M&P & J Frames) are super rare and going for high dollars.

Quality uppers and BCG's are in such demand (like nothing I have ever seen) that people will pay anything for them.

All pistol ammo (especially Ranger) is super rare & sells as soon as it comes in.

All that has to happen for AR's to explode again is for a .Gov official to talk about a ban & it will all start again.

I have a hard time believing this. Also, this is coming from a shop that has been here 30+ years.
I find it amazing that this shop has been able to stay in business for 30+ years, if he's that out of touch with the current market.

I haven't lived there in a long time, but that has to be either Dong's or whatsisname the IPSC shooter's place, right?

It's not Dongs. And the IPSC shooter I think your thinking of is the guy who won the Bianchi Cup a few times, but it isn't him either. This particular store used to be at about 58th & Lewis until a few years ago. They tend to have a rather higher end clientele.

The place youre thinking of is owned by Riley Gilmore ~ Tulsa Firearms.
This place in question is called SportsWorld. They used to be at 67th and Lewis in London Square shopping center.
