Both of these are two of the common issues reported with AR piston guns, just wondering if they've been addressed by Ruger.

    Thanks.
Of course these are issues w/ the Ruger as they do not know anything about AR's (especially piston AR's).

Users would be much better off buying one of your overpriced 6940's ($1799) or 6920's ($1599), huh? I think the biggest problem the Ruger is creating is on overpriced DI rifles.

With the extra area on the back of the carrier acting as an anti-tilt pad, I would think any tilt issues would be adequately addressed. Perhaps not.

Just for comparison sake, could you post some other piston upper/lower combos along with ballpark round counts to guage similar wear patterns?

I'd be interested to see how this compares to a 416 with low and high round counts.

In all fairness to Ruger, where a miss-execution in design has occurred they've generally been pretty quick with a solution & a recall, in my experience.Looking forward to trying out their new carbine.

Again, I still have yet to see anything a piston AR does that I can't get done with my DI guns. Cleaning is a none issue.

Good luck to Ruger but I'll probably only own the 10/22 and the Single Six my grandfather bought for me when I was 12.
Only hits count......you can not miss fast enough to catch up

I have two LWRC piston guns at the shop which have zero rounds through it by me (just like the Ruger) but I don't know if LWRC test fires or not.

I read a post in one of the many Ruger threads over on TOS about carrier tilt. The poster said he'd talked to Mark Gurney about this issue. Mr. Gurney told him that the wear in the buffer tube would not get any worse. I can't find which thread this statement's in since there are probably a dozen Ruger threads going on over there.

Anyway, I'll see if I can't get another couple hundred rounds through my carbine over the next couple of days. If the wear to the tube or the upper increase to a noticeable amount, I'll post additional pictures.

Never said that in the least. Also, the Colt's we have for sale have been the going rate for Colt's FOR YEAR's. Just RECENTLY the the market (because of economy) has dropped way off.

My LMT Piston with 2K rounds doesn't show that much wear.

I have over 10k rounds through my 10.5-inch LWRC upper. Here is a picture of the receiver extension tube of the first lower it lived on. I fired over 6,700-rounds through this one. The biggest wear seem to be the buffer detent pin.
