I am sure some on this forum ASSume that I am trying to price gouge people on them, but that just is not the case.

I love and respect the Ruger legacy... But I won't trust my life to a Ruger.. in early development. Remember the P89?

If you don't like his prices, buy from someone else. This thread is about the Ruger and not Grant's choices in AR pricing.

You can always comment in his feedback thread if you so choose.

Seriously now. So far both of your posts reflect nothing but assclownery and stabs at Grant. Grant is a businessman and he is running a business. He also knows what the weapons cost him and what he will make off them. You don't know and neither do I. If you don't like his prices then buy something else, somewhere else. Instead of posting some drivel here try and make a meaningful contribution.

Both of these are two of the common issues reported with AR piston guns, just wondering if they've been addressed by Ruger.

    Thanks.
I talked to Mark Gurney at Ruger about carrier tilt and cam pin wear this morning. Mr. Gurney was friendly and seemed very eager to talk about this new gun.

He told me that the company's pre-production prototypes had all been shot many thousands of rounds in durability testing and that many other guns had been shipped to various gun writers, etc. prior to these hitting the consumer market. Mark said that the tilt and upper wear issues are all present to a certain degree in all rifles, depending on the tolerances involved with each individual gun. He said the wear should appear fairly early on and then "settle down" a bit.

I've got right at 400 rounds through my Ruger now. I'll continue to monitor the wear points and see what happens.

Not defensive at all. Another person in this thread believed that I was trying to steer people away from the Ruger AR so that I could sell some "over priced" Colt's.

This just was not the case.

You are correct, we do not have to explain why we price the things low or high, but for whatever reason, people believe that they can ask why we do what we do.

No not really, the Colt's have been selling so I am not concerned in the least.

Also, the next time a .gov official talks about banning guns, people will be sucking these things up like candy.

I pay cash for all my inventory so having a handful of Colt's on hand at a higher price then the going market trend does not worry us in the least.

Thank you though for the lesson in the gun business though.

I changed out the lower receiver end plate for a used DD QD one I had, added a DD rail mounted QD point, a Vickers Combat Applications Blue Force Gear sling, a DD forward grip and some Magpul XT rail covers and ladder covers and a AAC Blackout M4-2000 flash hider/suppressor mount. Some of my co-workers (hunters and people who don't train nor compete) wanted me to leave it 100% stock. I asked how can I run drills that way? They looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language that they couldn't understand. Some people just don't get it...

    Mr. Jensen,

You had a chance to shoot this thing yet? Let us know how it's working for you.

I've got somewhere between 600-700 rounds through mine so far. Not too many but it's off to a good start....

Not yet. Lots of bad weather here, and I've been busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.

    RUGER SR-556 AR Platform

    Greetings,
Is anyone familiar with the New Ruger SR-556 Piston Driven System AR Platform? I just recently became aware of it. Check it out at Rugers website. It appears to be a quality weapon. Does anyone have any experience with the Ruger SR-556? Thank you very much!!!
