Anyone know the best online deal on an SR556? Found it for about $1500 at impactguns, not sure if there's better deals out there.

I won a gunbroker.com auction from him...$1394 (cash price) was the winning bid back on Nov. 5th. Good luck. He gave me a nice gun. Anyways, just passing the name along.

Something I posted over on TOS:
It has been a long (but enjoyable) three days. I'm tired and going to hit the sack here in about five minutes but I wanted to post and let you guys know that my SR556 ran great at the Viking Tactics class in Phoenix.
I took my Ruger for three reasons:
1) I like the gun
2) I was interested to see if the gun would suffer any mechanical problems
3) I wanted to be "the first" to run an SR556 through a high endurance class
Well, I still like the gun. I had two malfunctions. One was self-induced by partially covering the ejection port with my thumb. The other was a fat cartridge that wouldn't chamber. And I was not the only student using a Ruger. There was another gentleman there who also used an SR556. I didn't see him have any problems with it and he told me he was happy with it and it had been running well for him, as well.
Congrats, Ruger. It looks like you guys have done good.
Tok: That's cool, but give us some more dirt. Have you made any modifications to it? What sort of round count were you guys getting up to at the class? How does the receiver extension look? What sort of ammunition were you shooting?
The receiver extension looks pretty good. The round count for the class was (guessing here, I lost track) probably in the 1,600 range. The lower had somewhere in the neighborhood of 2,500 rounds on it before the class.
The only things I've swapped out from factory is the pistol grip, the trigger group and the charging handle.
Oops! Forgot to mention that I used a POF roller cam pin in the upper.
Here's the buffer tube wear at ~4,000 rounds fired.

What trigger are you running in it?
So far I haven't had any problems with my 556 but I'm not a huge fan of the trigger and was looking at switching it out.
