I have 11 brownell mags with about 600 rounds through half of them they feed great but my lmt would only lock the bolt back on the last shot 40% time bought a couple of P-mags almost 400 rounds through them locks the bolt back every time.
I replaced all of the crappy GI followers with magpul followers they are definitely a lot smoother than the GI followers all I have to do know is test them out. Pretty confident that that will fix the bolt not locking back every time. All in all they are good magazines.
    Good luck.

I don't know who makes Brownells, but the best I've tried are Colt/NHMTG/Okay, which are all Okay Inustries cage code 33710. The USGI green followers frequently hop over the bolt hold open. But when I replace them with Magpul followers, they work 100%. Same thing by the way for the orange USGI clones sold by DSG. I miked the Magpul and the DSG orange clones and they're about .020 longer than the green USGI. It makes all the difference to the bolt hold open. the magpuls are two bucks and the DSG clones are 50 cents. The DSGs kind of surprised me because they appear identical to the green USGI except for the color. But they're a little longer and function 100%.

I have over 75 of these mags, 50 of which are the tactical kind they sell -- with Magpul followers and Ranger plates. Of those, I've put 20 through extremely heavy use and several carbine courses without a single hiccup. It's my go-to magazine for everything.

I bought a few of the USGI config, SOCOM Tan mags. They are really nice.

I avoided them for a while because I was worried that Cprod was supplying the bodies to brownells. But people are claiming that Brownells is actually making the mag bodies themselves.

Markm -- from what I can gather, mags made before a certain date (mid 2005?) were indeed made by C-Products and those were having problems. I took a Pat Rogers course, and they told us about this. I checked my mags and had 5 of the old ones. As a nod to Brownell's customer service, they took them back, exchanged them for new ones, and even gave me an extra mag for free -- plus free shipping. Now that's the way to treat a customer!

But to the original point, check the date of the mag -- the month and year should be stamped on the body somewhere, like 11 07, and if any are pre-2006, call Brownells and ask what the cut-off date was of the switch from C-Prod

The 30 round mags are USGI and GTG.
The few 20 round mags that I tired were unusually tight in several lowers and were returned w/o any hassle.

I ordered more P-Mags from Brownells yesterday, but ALL of the Brownells GI type 30 rounders that I have, have been 100%. Plus, as stated earlier, you can buy from them with confidence.
