That last pic looks MIM to me too.

I see nothing wrong with a MIM latch either.It will probably outlast the charging handle itself.
I'd be pretty confident in saying that LMT probably tested the part really well before they released it.So yeah I'd trust it too.
Not to mention most of the steel Tac latches out there are either bent/formed and made from stamped sheet metal or maybe even cast depending on the model.The weakest link in any latch is the roll pin anyway.So its a moot point IMHO to nit pick there.
Like I said before the CH latch has a different application requirement than say a extractor.

Apparently FN is making extractors, takedown levers, hammers, and other critical parts MIM for its FNP-45 . . . and they are PROUD of that fact.What do ya'll think about this?
