I have a Noveske N4 light basic carbine upper with Troy rear BUIS right now that I'm looking to mount an Aimpoint ML3 to.
I have been looking around at various mounts and after doing a bit of searching I figured that I can't seem to find Larue mounts anywhere in stock and the only decent quality in stock anywhere seems to be the Bobro.
The problem is I'm not sure whether to get the 180 or the 150. I understand the 150 is true co-witness meaning it is lower and the 180 is a bit higher for 1/3 lower BUIS sight picture.
Do I need to get the 180 to clear my A2 front sight on this gun ?
Also, which would you all recommend for a CQB rifle ? Engagements within 50 Yards.
Currently I have this craptastic twist mount with a riser. I dont know who makes it but you have to twist the thumbscrew, which protrudes extremely, around 3 or more times to lock solid.
Problem with this mount is that it keeps getting loose after a couple of hundred rounds on either my bushmaster upper or Noveske upper.
