I just picked up a Roggio lower and the plan is to make a 16" pencil thin "Dissy" set up utilizing MOE rifle length hand guards (when/if they come out), an Elzetta FSB light mount, an Aimpoint T1, and hopefully the Magpul ACS stock will be out by then too. I'm going to go FDE and it will essentially look like a "Dissy" version of your rifle.

No action pics yet, took a different rifle hunting this morning and by the time I got back to the truck I wish I had taken this one, its rediculously light compared to my other rifles.

To others, that means two white lights, two optical aiming devices, a BUIS, an IR laser and flood, a visible laser, and a VFG to keep their hand in position to use it all. Sure, dude 1 will probably be able to hold his own when it comes to the 200 yard standing slow-fire, but will be completely outclassed in the dark, engaging threats from 2 to 300 meters. In the first instance "Simple" means in relation to the very narrow band of employment that the user has for his gun. In the second, "Simple" refers to the easiest and most efficient means to achieve impact on the enemy in any given circumstance.

When people show images of a stock carbine and call it (with a degree of self-righteousness and condescention) KISS, what I read is "Incompetant", and the acronym is more suited to: Kept Irrelevant and Self-Satisfied.
Exactly, especially the last part, self righteousness, is the word I've been looking for.

Here's one of mine - light and easy to handle, with what seem to be the 3 requirements for a fighting rifle - sling, light, and optic.

    Here's another:

I dont have any KISS rifles.

I do, however, have a rifle decked out in OD I call the "Green Manelishi"

Therefore, it is a Judas Priest rifle. Please don't confuse it as an early Fleetwood Mac rifle.

I am still trying to find a good two-pronged flash suppressor to put on it
My brother saw Deliverance and bought a Bow. I saw Deliverance and bought an AR-15.

The sound you're hearing, folks, is the sound of scores of sacred cows screaming out in unison, and then being silenced.

I would refer to that as a range toy.

Want "KISS"? Get a Garand or better yet a muzzle loader. The thought process is identical.

Why do you need all those bells and whistles on your carbine?

I may have to use it.
