One of my KISS guns - a 727 style carbine with a G2X light and a VFG bolted on to some plain ol' carbine handguards.

It's the AR I'm most apt to have with me during the course of the day

And another fairly simple setup - my 10.3 SBR.

it doesn't have a light mounted but, like a couple of my other ARs, has a rail section at the 11 o'clock position so I can slap a light on there as needed. It's a pretty cool little gun except for the really lackluster accuracy, which I'm trying to get to the bottom of.

    That 727 is rather sexy.

Thanks, I have mixed feelings on the rattle-can paintjob I gave it to try and imitate Colt grey. It didn't quite work. Next time I want to try and put a retro finish on a gun I won't go the white trash route.

I view this as KISS. Simple red dot (H2) and a decent light:

To me, this 727 clone is retro/stripped:

ALICE ruck strap half as front end of sling, making it quick-adjust...very retro, very cool! Pretty sure that's how the very first ones were done.

USMCVET your #2 carbine looks like mine. Magpull SL hanguards and grip. LMT lower with Colt 14.5 SOCOM barrel, DD rear sight. It's my do everything rifle.

    Here is my submission
Colt 6920 with 14.5 in SOCOM barrel (pin/welded)

I swapped out the COLT BCG, safety , fire control group and charging handle for parts made by LWRC . I also added Magpul MOE grip, KAC trigger guard and RAS. I say it’s KISS because although I did upgrade some parts it’s nothing that is a real departure from the original parts or parts found on a service M4
