Basically, yes. The lengthened battery compartment makes it impossible to get a ring around it since the compartment runs basically the entire length of the tube. This is what necessitates the funky mount shown in my pictures.Originally Posted by John_Wayne777
I got a chance to talk to one of the guys from Colt for quite awhile. The vast majority of our conversation was about the piston guns. He seemed confident that the 1020 would be released to the civilian/LEO market "sometime". Evidently they made promisses at last year's show and now hav ea bit of egg on their face since the gun is not out.Originally Posted by Cold Zero
They should be releasing the 6940 first, which has the monolithic upper over a standard direct-gas system. They should have 100 of the uppers produced for this model in the next couple of months.
The biggest hinderance would appear to be that they are frantically working to keep up with M4 production. The guy I talked to said they are producing 500 M4s a day for government use, and that doesn't leave much room in production for civilian and LE guns.
They both should be available soon and I ordered both models.Originally Posted by mark5pt56

Not that I saw. Their booth was very small and was obviously dominated by the Masada. The only other products I saw there were the CTR, UBR and whatever they're calling their sniper stock.Originally Posted by RHR

Anymore info on this? Was it at the show, or just announced? Time-frame on availability?
