Lance, I believe he said that either 1/7 or 1/9 won't make a difference in tissue due to the density of tissue, which is true, same for 1/12 or even 1/14 with the M193 ammo.

All of these twist rates will cause the bullet to reach the target point forward, then the bullet design and tissue density cause the yaw and fragmentation, not the twist rate.

The old claim that changing from 1/14 to 1/12 screwed the troops in Viet Nam by causing the M193 to fail to yaw in tissue is complete bullshit.

always thought it was the twist.... so twist doesn't matter huH? I've read somewhere something about "over stabilized"? where does this stand?

so basically even 1/7 twist with m193 will still yaw as good as a 1/12 w m193?

Yes. Chuck Taylor has no idea what he is talking about on this subject.

I threw that in as he is constantly writing in articles about how the original M16s had a 1/14 twist and how the change to 1/12 made the M193 bullet less likely to yaw and fragment and screwed up the "stopping power" of that round.

The behavior in gelatin with the 1/12 and 1/7 twists are the same for this round, and every other .223/5.56 round I have ever seen tested.
