    Need assistance, ID this Eotech

I traded for this Eotech yesterday but I've never had one before, I really like the Aimpoint but I got a good deal in this one. Can anyone tell me the model number and anything else I should know?

EOtech 551 the only problem i've heard with them is that the battery life is very short and get fried from the heat of a DI system. but I could be wrong.

Looks like a 551 to me also.

I've owned several and had zero issues with them. They do eat batteries a little faster than the AA 512/552 models, especially in the cold. Not enough to be a show stopper though. If shooting a three day class I've always put a fresh set of batteries in just before the class and been fine.

    I would keep it.

If it's reliable why change anything?
