    Magpul sling mount point?

I have noticed in the pictures of the Viking sling that it appears to be mounted on a Magpul CTR stock. How is this mounted on the hole in the stock?

    Is this a LaRue part?

I don't know what specific manufacture the ones pictured are, (Maybe they're all made by Uncle Mike's - I don't know) but they are available from a number of different places, like these -

There are also "lighter duty" versions that are a bit smaller, but function the same way.

There a metal tube (I forget it's name) on the Magpul CTR stock that uses the same sling swivel that is pictured on that Larue rail.

There are several makers now, but it's the same design as the Uncle Mike's push button sling swivel. Remind me and I'll show you on my A1 gun.

    Thanks,

I also like the Daniel Defense Rear Receiver QD mount. What is the chance of releasing these QD mounts accidently?

Almost zero chance. You have to hold the center of the swivel in while pulling it away from the stock.

Yeah, it's a pretty complex motion to get the thing to let go. Hell, I often have trouble getting it to let go when I want it to.

I just bought this for my CTR Stock. I called them up and they said this fits perfectly in the circle hole behind the stock adjustment lever. Hope this does the trick. I have a Savvy Sniper sling and the clip will not fit into any clip holes on the CTR.

The hole's called a QD cup, and the swivel's a QD swivel. Some nomenclature got figured out in the 5 1/2 years since they had this thread.
