    Terminal effects of Russian 7N6 5.45mm on white tail

    A member of AKForum.net got the last white tail of the season with his 5.45mm AK-74.

    He used Russian surplus 5.45x39mm 7N6, the bullet has a mild steel core, lead plug at the base, and an air pocket at the tip of the FMJ. When the bullet hits something, the core slams forward into the airpocket and the bullet rapidly upsets.

    Interesting, but man that looks more like a large dog than a deer...and the dog looks more like a large cat than a dog .

    The tailgate picture with the dog holding the AK over the deer is great.
