I want to replace my M2 with a T1.
I was at the boat as the OP when I got my 10.5" SBR. I went with the H-1. Got it from Grant. One of his package deals w/ and ADM mount. It's awesome. Glad I got it.
Have Fun, Be Safe
I'm also in the same dilemma, debating the different options. On T1/H1 larue mounts, is the high for a lower 3rd co-witness and the low for an absolute?
Thanks

Comparison Chart of Aimpoint Models
Many people become confused as to the features of the various Aimpoint models and how they compare to one another. I simply used the information available on the Aimpoint website to compile it all into one location to be able to compare them all at a glance.
My quick and dirty, simple and to the point, take on the various models is below. This is based on personal use of the models listed, the specifications from the chart above, as well as input from Aimpoint staff.
No need for deep diving or NV, and on a budget?
Aimpoint C3
Need a deeper waterproof rating?
Aimpoint ML3
Need the deeper rating and NV?
Aimpoint M3
Need the most robust and bomb-proof sight Aimpont has ever made?
Aimpoint M4 or M4s
Need a compact and/or lightweight solution without the need to dive or NV?
Aimpoint H-1
Need a compact and/or lightweight solution and you dive with it or need NV?
Aimpoint T-1

Rgr. Thank you
right now I'm leaning back toward the T/H-1, for size and weight.
I went back and forth for months about what type of optic I wanted on my middy - Aimpoint, 1-4x variable, ACOG... I narrowed it down to an Aimpoint, but didn't know whether to go Comp C3, ML3, M3, M4... then a buddy of mine suggested a T-1.
After reading up on them, I finally decided to go with the T-1 and the LT-660 mount. I placed the order with LaRue last week and it arrived yesterday. I have to say, that I am very happy with it. It's so small and light, you hardly notice it on the gun. Also, when bringing the rifle into the firing position, it doesn't even seem like I'm looking through an optic at all. The dot is just sort of "there". I feel like I have a much greater field of view due to the T-1's small size.
I was initially leaning toward a 2MOA dot, but decided that the T-1's slightly larger dot (3.4 MOA I think?) would be fine. Comparing it to another friend's 2MOA dot, I can't tell much, if any, difference. I'm looking forward to the weekend so I can hit the range with it.
One thing I may change is swapping out my LMT rear sight for a flip-up. The LMT isn't really in the way at all - but it does make for a bit of a cluttered view. I'll know better after the weekend though. I'm also considering a LaRue "Po' Boy" magnifier, so a flip-up would be necessary at that point. I'm not 100% certain on any of those decisions yet.
I think you'd be real pleased with the H-1 or T-1. The tall LaRue mount is nice too - I'm partial to the lower 1/3rd cowitness though, so YMMV.
You'll not go wrong whichever way you go though.![]()

Buckeye, get out and do some shooting with it. My bet is that you'll never notice the rear sight. I have a carbine with FSB, T-1 in LT mount, and LT rear sight and I've never given the rear sight a second thought.
