    DDM4 Middy conversion

Thanks to gotm4 who did the work my DDM4 now has a DD Middy barrel.

I just got back from the range and I can report that it is a good thing to do. The rifle is easier on the shooter and doesn't loose a thing in accuracy.

I got the barrel from Grant, and had the original barrel which had already been converted to a low pro gas block installed on my RRA under a 10" lite rail.

A quick zero and in no time I was putting 5 shot groups inside of 2.5" at 100 yards which given my eyesight makes me pretty happy.

She's a dirty girl now but ran well with everything I shot today. She was a little on the loud side though.

Nice weapon you got there. Middies are the best thing going for the 16 inch M4/AR platform.

This is the carbine that I wish DD would produce. Maybe with an M4A1 RIS II and their new front and rear BUIS.

    Middie+DDM4=Heaven

I love my BCM Middie. I have it on a Noveske lower built by Grant and it is one of my favorites. I would love a Middie DDM4!

    Damn fine looking rifle.

Was the comp on the original barrel ? I was wondering maybe that amplified the smoothness of the operation.

Came out nice! I got mine from Rainier, and I'm still tryiing to get the rest of the money/parts together to complete the build. I am still considering sending my DD middy barrel to ADCO to have it lightened in-front of the gasblock.

You want the weight in front of the gas block not behind it for the best muzzle lift control.
