    Removing the muzzle device with a dremel is the easiest way I know. Here is a picture of a couple that I kept as examples. The one on the left was a hack job because I had no plans of saving it. The vortex on the right I was able to save. I re-built the removed material with JB and molly coated that area. I used it on my varmint rifle for a while and it held up fine. I also have a extended A2 that I removed, re-installed and re-welded. The trick is to make sure that the pin isn't too tight in the hole to start with, and dont penetrate too deeply with the weld.

    It was a $150 upper that somebody did a hackjob with a slip on 5.5. I use it as a flame thrower for my registered colt 6933 lower.

    The barrel was trashed and the flash hider wiggled quite a bit.

    I have thought about going with the Form 1 But I wanted to be able to Make My wife and Daughter trustees in case Something happens to me
