Is there a reason you used different buffer springs?

Remember, the Founding Fathers reason for the 2nd Amendment... to combat tyranny. Sadly, when people discuss the 2nd Amendment, the opponents erroneously think it was meant to stand alone... it HAS a preamble:

"...But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security..."

The 11.5 build has a really all small gas port and a stiff spring caused malfunctions. As the GP errodes, I will be able to change out springs.

Grant could you take a Noveske Switch Block and open the port to your specs so that it wasn't over gassed ?

    God Bless

There really isn't a need to as the switch block fixes the over gassed issues.

thanks for the info. One of these days I'm going to build a SBR and this thread has been really helpful.

    Grant,

Do you think you have enough data and mostly interest to start getting some small port 10.5 & 11.5 tubes made to your specs??

I have all the data I need (have now completed two advanced carbine schools with the 10.5). In fact, I haven't had a single malfunction with the gun in 2 years. The question though is there enough interest in them.

Grant, I am seriously interested in Exhibit B from page one of this thread:

    1. Noveske 11.5 N4 Light (with small gas port).
    2. KAC UXR II
    3. LMT Enhanced Bolt Carrier
    4. Fail Zero Bolt
    5. Fail Zero M4 Upper Receiver
    6. SureFire MB556
    7. SureFire K Can
    8. PRI GB CH
    9. SS Car Buffer Spring
    10. H3 Buffer

Although the one change I'd be interested in making is a BCM Gunfighter CH Mod 4, with the silicone gasket trick, rather than the Gasbuster.

Can I PM you for a ballpark cost on that? With and without the Surefire can? I have not tracked down a local Surefire suppressor dealer that carries stock, but have found a local FFL/SOT that will do NFA transfers for about $100.

Thanks very much, I have been watching this thread since you opened it. A Noveske lower with your LPK would be a perfect match for that upper.
