And I'm, respectfully, providing some education.
You can sort of do a comparison between two weapons shooting at the same range on the same day with the same camera/microphone, but two different videos taken with different microphones at different distances from the weapon and with different acoustics makes any meaningful comparison basically impossible.
And more often than not, videos of weapons firing don't sound anything lie they do in reality. And especially with a suppressed 5.56, the predominant sound you'll hear is the supersonic crack, which the suppressor does nothing to deaden (and actually minutely contributes to it).
I'm not saying Grant should or should not make videos and I'm not saying you shouldn't ask. I'm saying you should reevaluate your expectations for such a video if it were made. I'd love to see a video of Grant shooting his best suppressed SBR ever too. But if you expect to be able to compare it to another video and use that comparison to guide a purchase for example, you need to hear it in person, not over a video.

thanks.
yes I remember seeing two set ups for a SBR+cans and within same video, none of them sounded the same.
Hmm interesting.
I also remember watching some Magpul videos, the sound does changes from where the camera is located, behind not so much, at the side, you hear the subsonic crack.
thanks
@Grant, will save my pennies as soon as I stop treating my rifle like a Barbie![]()
I'll make a video of my Suppressed SBR's and then I'll decide which is best.
advance thanks guys![]()
If I understand Grant and everyone else for the most part.
How you are setting up the adj. gas blocks is shooting with 1 round and turning the gas block down (lowering the amount of gas going back to the carrier group) until the bcg does not lock back? If this is achieved then it is almost 100% guaranteed that when the can is on, the bolt will lock back on empty mag.
We haven't figured out how to have best of both worlds yet?
Would something like a kx3 make the unsuppressed work? Or do I misunderstand the benefit of that device? Although, I guess that's probably an either/or device since it's not QD like the suppressor likely is, am I right?
