It is still in development at this point but the Ellis Optics 1 to 6 power Mk7 Omega looks to be promising. I have my fingers crossed.

It seems like there are always these wonder optics, (there actually is a Wonder Optics I think) that are almost as good as an S&B, but $400, coming soon. I thought that the Ellis scopes would be out by now, and there is the always on the horizon GSRC scopes and the illuminated IOR 3-18 FFP. Optics manufacturing must be harder than I, and some scope designers, think. I can understand why, we are not talking tens of thousands of unit sales here.

I really want to know more about this Swarovski 1-6x optic. Time to hit up the search button, but in the meantime, anyone have any more details and/or comparisons to the Short Dot?
Daylight visible yes but not quite as bright as my Aimpoints. But bright enough to be seen on the sunniest days.
Pro's very clear glass, easy to use recticle much like an Eotech, Power ring is easy to adjust in the heat of a match. Another pro is the illuminaiton switch has two settings that can be adjusted independent of one another. One for day one for night. With the flick of a switch is at the intensity you want. Unlike an Eotech where you have to hit the button several times to get it where you want it. The night mode is also nice. With the flick of a switch its dim enough for night use.
Cons wish the recticle was red or green instead of amber. Wish it had a bullet drop compensator.

Much appreciated! I have a local Swarovski dealer, but he doesn't stock this model, in fact he only has one model in stock right now.
I may have to sell some gear and just pony up for one.

I believe its second focal plane. Meaning the recticle gets enlarged as the magnification goes up like most American scopes. Its a true 1x. On 1X its fast and has no distortion. It feels crisper than my own eyes on 1 x. Not sure what the battery life is. I have replaced the batteries once since I have owned the scope. If I had to guess I would say 200 hours. Of course you can use the scope without batteries with no illumination.
