    $3000 SCAR

Is $3000 too much to pay for a FN SCAR? I dont have the bucks anyway just curious.
I know of no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them but to inform their discretion.

Really don't know what they usually go for these days. Sounds like too much to me, but then again I don't care for them anyway. Too bulky.

I guess that all depends on how much disposable income the buyer has. When I look at the SCAR I see a really nice gun that I'd like to own, but I don't see enough value above and beyond a top ar to justify spending $1000-$1500 more just to own one right now.

    Wink

$2600 is ridiculous. Save yourself over $600 and buy the new LMT piston gun. Great gun, less $$$ and less BULK too.

After handling a SCAR 16S any AR pattern rifle is bulkier than the SCAR, my LWRC feels 2-3 times heavier as well.

    Prices are still steep

I'd love to get my hands on one. Doesn't seem like FN is offering different barrel lengths yet..if at all. I think prices around 2400 to 2600 are about the max range for what people should be paying.. beyond that is gouging. Who knows what the Scar 17 will be pulling in if it becomes available...people will go beserk for that as well. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up a SCAR by mid next year..which feels like way too long as it is.

    Leave the guns...bring the cannolis.
