Got A Problem With A T1 Mount Need Some Help!

I took a Vickers AK class a while back and set up my SAM-7 Carbine and SGL 20 with my two TI's so that I would have clones in case one went down. I had them mounted on a Ultimak rail system using the mounts that came with the T1 from the factory.

I bought one of the T1's from LaRue with the LT660 mount, so it did not come with the original mount. I then bought the LT661 mount thinking that would work, but it did no co-witness like the original. I ended up using the mount from my Sig P556 optic (which is junk but had the mount I needed) which served its purpose for what I needed.

My problem is that in trying to remove the shitty mount from the T1, one of the shitty screws is stripping and I cant get it out. Because it is so small and I dont want to damage the T1 I cant figure out how to remove it.

Does anybody have any ideas on how to get the screw out or know of a place I can send it? I really need to get it off so I can remount it on the LT660. I can take the other one off and use it for the time being but I really want to keep one mounted on my SAM-7 and keep one on the LT so I can swap it from AR to AR.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

head to Sears and pick up a screw extractor (probably need size #1; take one of the screws you removed to verify).

    good luck!

just a heads up for anyone else who might read this.

apparently this is a common problem with the Micro. when trying to remove the factory mount for the first time, one of the screws will often get stuck/stripped

i had the exact same thing happen to my H1.

i contacted Aimpoint, they sent me a shipping label, they removed the Micro from its mount and shipped it back to me, with several extra spare screws included.

if you're not comfortable trying to fix the problem yourself, call Aimpoint right away, they will deal with the problem lickity-split.

I didn't think it was right to post the fix unless he was inclined to do so. He was helping me and didn't want to broadcast it...
