    Kentucky Cop,

Here are pics of the MagPul XTMs on my 6940. Sorry for the crap pics but I shot them real quick with my IPhone before I left for work. I still have to order a VTAC LUSA and TD PR-4, already have the sling.

I also use XTM panels on my 6940 and my 9mm with Troy rail. I have like them much better than the TD panels and ladder style covers I had before and

I like Surefire ladders best. Great fit and grip, thinner profile, but gotta wear gloves if it gets hot!

That is one good looking rifle Cathellsk! Looks extremely functional but simple. I love the white light set up. What kind of mount is it in? I have been searching everywhere for the new Magpul sling. I don't even think they make them anymore (yes, I am talking to you Magpul!) What kind of sling do you guys recommend other than Magpul?

Sorry about all the "new guy" questions. You guys have been a huge help. My rifle is well on its way thanks to everyone here!
    All the best, Ky Cop

Cathellsk, nice rifle. It appears you are using MagPul XTM covers on 3 sides and a ladder on top. Correct? If so how do you like that setup? I was thinking of the same arrangement and wondered how it was working for you.

Thanks! I'll be putting an Aimpoint Micro T1 in a Larue mount as soon as I come up off the money for one (already have the mount).
That is the Viking Tactics mount I mentioned above. Very simple and well made.
For slings, two come up mentioned more than anything else, the VTAC (I have a tan padded one with quick disconnects) and VCAS.

As you can see the light mount covers the factory qd swivel. I'll be getting one of these for the rail. http://vikingtactics.com/prod_vtac_lusa.html
And for the rear I'll be getting one of these. http://tangodown.com/shop/product_in...products_id=40

Yes, and I like it. I was going to run the XTMs on the top rail too but they won't clear the light and mount so I just threw the ladder on instead.

I have XTM and XT rails, and while the XTM rails are cooler and more adaptable to color patterns, I realy like the XT rails for their softer feel. I guess if you are wearing gloves it doesn't matter as much.

Has anyone tried the new Tango Down SCAR panels? They look good and seem to be different take on the KAC panels (different lengths, locking piece on one end).

    Spooky

I prefer ladder styled covers. Because I think they are lightest.

Does get kinda hot in rapid fire in relatively hot weather (90's), but not THAT hot so... *shrugs*

Yes they still make them. They just sell out incredibly fast. Just keep checking www.magpul.com or www.impactguns.com or google magpul ms2 sling and get on a backorder on any of the sites which sell them. Eventually you'll get one.
