The wilcox mount is $160.00 you can go to their web site and get the phone # to call and order it. I used a pri tall mount on my first mk18 "clone" it works well and I have taken it on and off a few times , using no torque wrench, and the 50 yard zero is ok. I am going to use a wilcox on my next project.

I don't think the upper has any unique markings besides the barrel makers mark.

I saw a lot of Navy EOD guys carrying these in Iraq. Usually painted tan. The ones the SEALs carried were usually pretty dirty, I assume they were painted also.
The seabee guys here have Vltor uppers with 10" barrel, very handy little thing. It almost felt like I was holding a lower reciever and buttstock to my shoulder.

Orrrrr, you can just put together something similar. This one has a LMT 10.5" upper, ACR stock, and LaRue rail, and redi-mod.

    - The only lowers that are marked Mk18 Mod0 (in addition to the Colt M4A1 and Property US Gov't) are from my understanding the concept guns -- but some obviously do see service.

FWIW the EOD guns I believe are done by a vendor here.
I think they might send more of those to ships for VBSS teams. There is the well linked ships armory picture with the marking, and we had about 3-4 of them with markings when I was last on ship doing the VBSS thing. Ill be on a new ship in a few months so Ill be curious to see what theyve got since Im much more into guns now than I was back then.

The larue BUIS provides a smoother Left side of the upper(CH access) vs. LMT's BUIS, and is on several of my friends mk18s.

Crane uses m4a1, m16a1, and other lowers interchangably in their builds. The Navy does not have burst trigger groups(and the crappy trigger pull associated with it) in any of the weps I've seen.
I remember thinking to myself how old those M16A1 lowers must be!?

I know this is an old thread but here's my modest contribution. LMT MK18 MOD0 clone.

Not sure about the necro pic bump....but I find it interesting the two SME's mention the LMT uppers being issued in 06 and Colt as a rarity. I've seen multiple flame wars over that topic in the NFA arenas of several AR related gun forums

Why is it interesting? It's not like LMT doesn't make them. Issuing them is another issue altogether.
