I have talked to a couple of people that own them on another forum and they all tell me the gun works as advertised, as in after breakin of I think 20 bullets the rifle never needs to be oiled and stays a lot cleaner due to that fact. Also nobody has payed retail price, I saw the " $1929 minuteman"for sale at $1450 nib on northwestfirearms.com. That said I am not sure the ceramic coating makes it worth the money.

I was hoping to find more owners of these rifles to see what they thought of the weapons ceramic coating and it's stated ability to disburse heat and stay clean.

you got to admit it's an interesting idea

ceramic coatings arent really new.. they've never really caught on for probably multiple reasons. i've never heard of a ceramic bore, but the fact that they're doing SO many things wrong with the rest of the gun leads me to conclude, with 98% certainty, that it's nothing revolutionary, and won't be rocking any industry boats.

you can't totally air-ball so many technical details and be trusted to any kind of real innovation. if they ever start producing weapons anywhere near TDP, i'll take a second look. until then, i'd avoid 'em like lepers.

This is what it says under the first "upgrade option" you linked (the $3,039 one): "Extreme Environment Patrol Carbine w/ Tactical Applications Upgrade."

Since it uses the words "Extreme" and "Tactical" I might as well buy it, right??

As for the second link you posted, you could buy a friggin' Noveske/Magpul MPLA special edition 18" SPR completely upgraded with only the VERY BEST brands of add-ons and accessories included with it on gunbroker for only a few hundred more for Christ's sake!!

You can make it seem like the most high speed low drag badass tactical elite and extreme AR-15 rifle ever made.... and I STILL ain't buyin' the damn thing!!!

Obviously this AR vendor is out in left field, however let's focus on anyone who may have had successful dealings with them, or knows about their offerings firsthand.

quite possibly, actually, in my mind. anyone using every gimick in the book is likely to use yet another and tout it as something real.
