Is There Somethin' Wrong w/ My H-1?

I have an Aimpoint H-1 on an SBR that's my safe queen, so I don't shoot er' much. I know, I know, I should. Anyway, I pulled out the SBR today and was looking down the Aimpoint. Whether it was on or not, there was a reddish-pinkish hue that would appear in the upper left hand portion of the H-1. Usually in lower light. When I would go into a well light room it would go away for the most part, still there a little bit. I don't recall seeing this at the range the half dozen times or so I've been out shooting it. The hue is a little more tanslucent than the picture below.

    Question

Creepy. I think it's called "Red Dawn Syndrome".

Do other people notice it when looking in the optic? Our eyes are weird things.

In some conditions, I see what appear to be anomalies in my Aimpoints, but in most settings and conditions it doesn't exist.

Other shooters with my gun, NEVER notice it. So it could be something with my eyes, or the cant of my head, etc.

Have someone else you trust knows WTF they are looking at look at it.

If there is something there for both of you, reach out to Aimpoint. They are very responsive in my experience.

You're just seeing the inside of the tube where the dot comes from, it's completely normal. If you focus on the target you'll not notice it.

Take it out into sunlight and focus on the target and you'll never notice that. Completely normal in my experience.

I had that same "problem" with my T-1...which is why i sent it back. I say "problem" because some people say it doesn't bother them. BUT, for me, seeing all these shadows of red light bouncing back at me drove me nuts. Basically, I would see a red ring around the outer edges, and sometimes a triangle of red light that was blocking my view. Unacceptable for ME, personally. I don't know why my AimPoint did it, but my cheapO tasco (on a .22) does not.

Apples to oranges, different internals completely. the only time i notice the internal reflections is in a poorly lit indoor range when I have my H1 turned up too high. Even then, I can still focus on the target and the reflections seem to disappear. I honestly don't see them when I'm concentrating on the target.

Does this happen to all Aimpoint models or just the Micros?

Shooting NTCH, I can only get my optic to do this when I point the gun to the darkest portion of my room and even then, the reflection in NO WAY blocks the dot. My ML3 doesn't exhibit the behavior in the same way or orientation as the H1. The light source is in a different position. Much ado about nothing.
