I'd pick the Larue for its simplicity, plus I prefer the QD fastener, since it STAYS PUT!
I have an LMT one one one of my KISS rifles, and the LMT style fastner backs off on occasion, unless you lock-tite it, which I am not a big fan of doing for removable items like iron sights.
The fastener I'm talking about is the big round nut on the left side of the sight, you can see it in the pic a earlier in this thread)

I will second the "stays put" from Mr B on the L.T. A buddy and I were recently in a class and he wanted to check out the L.T I have on my rifle. He payed hell getting it to let loose.

You can adjust the QD lever to make it not quite so tough. You should have gotten a little wrench and an instruction card with your sight. (its a 5/16 wrench, so don't fret if you don't have it.)

Also make sure you extend the tip of the QD lever before trying to pry it outward, there is a little lock that engages when its pushed in. (ask me how I know this...)

I dont take it off so the level is fine with me I think alot of his problem was not wanting to break my stuff. It was just funny to watch as he would pull and look up to see if I was freaking out. tip thing i did the same when I first got my riser years ago, one of those homer moments for me.

yeah, I busted the tip on one of my flip mounts, cause I was trying to remove it at 3am during an insomnia moment.. they replaced it no charge, even though I told them it was my fault, and offered to pay for the replacement parts.

I guess we all have "Doh!" moments...
