...sounds like the perfect excuse to get a suppressor

The last thing is to fill the gas port hole, re-drill it to the mil-standard (.063).

Thanks every one for the input. My wife had neck/skull surgey about 2 years ago, so its not just the bruising that bothers her. She dosent get a propper hold on the rifle, I try to show her how to hold it, but she says its not comfortable. ( read hard headed when I try to show her something)
Grant what would give me the most bang/least recoil for my buck, the H2 buffer/ spring or a muzzle brake. If the brake is best, whats the most efective one? It looks like it would just thread on. Any special tools or tecnique required?
    Thanks.

I would upgrade the buffer and spring along WITH installing a MB.

No real special tools needed to do these upgrades (other than a vice and maybe a receiver block).

Not trying to be a prick here, and I'm making huge assumptions without knowing your wife's shooting habits/goals, but have you considered a .22 conversion kit? I'm teaching my niece to shoot and she prefers to shoot my ARs with a CMMG .22 kit. Granted, the other fixes listed are cheaper, but I just thought I'd throw this idea out there.

She has a GSG 5 that she loves to shoot but if I put a .22 conversion in her AR she would say" why do I get the girl gun" She like the power.

I have the Enidine in my SW MP15 and thus far I have not had any stoppages. However, I haven't run the gun very hard. I only shoot about 100 rounds per range session (all .223 ammo) and have yet to take this gun to a class. What specific problems can come up due to the Enidine? If it's bad then I may just need to purchase a H1 buffer to guarantee reliability in my firearm.

ETA: Total 1000 rounds through this gun with the Enidine

I am really not a MB guy (unless you are running a can). I really only have experience with a handful of them (like the SF MB556K).

GotM4 has used about everything under the sun so you might want to drop him a line.

I've found that an H3 buffer along with a Tubbs flat wire spring does wonders for reducing felt recoil and slows down the cyclic rate. FWIW.

the very early enidines had some problems with the head breaking off the rod. this happened to me. newer enidines had that corrected as far as i know (at least that's what enidine told me). i'm not sure if people's impressions of them are based on the earlier ones, but i like them and continue to use them. so far so good with the replacement.
