    Knight’s Armament Micro-Aimpoint Mount

    Knight’s Armament Micro-Aimpoint Mount

ARMS, GG&G and LaRue mounts for comparison.

    Molon,

Does KAC mount have a capability of changing between 1/2 and 1/3 co-witness? I've read something to that effect, but I am not certain and I can't figure this out by looking at the pic. Also, have they been released for purchase?

If you look closely at the second and third pics above, you should be able to see the "spacer" between the top and bottom portions of the mount. The mount can be used without any spacer, with one spacer or with two spacers. I have mine set up with one spacer, which by my measurements gives a nearly perfect 2.6" absolute co-witness. I purchased mine directly from KAC.

To me this makes it the most versatile mount for Micro and I am glad I have waited. I've just ordered mine. Thank you for information.

I hear ggg weighs almost twice the weight of T-1. Yep, you can't have it all.

That looks really sweet. I hope Knights has some new items for us.
Sad, that it takes someone else to tell you your life is worth protecting and that you are the one ultimately responsible for it.

A T1 in the GG&G mount without the lens caps only weighs 2 ounces more than a T1 in the LaRue mount.

so more weight and have caps, or less weight and height adjustablilty. they are both quality mounts with great features. but i am strong and i like 1/2 co-witness so i would take the ggg because of the caps. but i could see how others would prefer the knights. anyway, i say the more options the better. cheers to knights armament.
