FireMission: Please help RRISD rename this school after a true American Hero.

The Round Rock ISD is searching for names to rename a school. I, for one cannot think of a better name than MICHAEL P. MURPHY ELEMENTARY. Please pass this along to other sites, the deadline is Sept 8th 2009.

It only takes a few minutes and the more people the better the chance of it happening. Please help.

The USS Michael Murphy (DDG-112) an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer is also being named after him.

I think a school is fitting as well. Let's educate our children about the heroic service members we have had.

Thank you! I spent a few minutes today calling the schools and protesting Olame'as speech on the 8th. I urge anyone with time on their hands to call the RRISD schools at this http://www.roundrockisd.org/index.aspx?page=5, even if you don't live here, call your schools. Whether or not you have children in school, every voice gets heard!
