I am wondering if the ACS may be a better match for the SR-15E3 than the CTR. Just speculating.

That is a hell of a rifle. The epitome of Eugene Stoner's design at this point in my opinion.

I had a ACS on my Noveske middy and it did balance my rifle better than the CTR but i sent it back because overall i still like the Sopmod best. There are other brakes or comps that may work a (little) better than the triple tap but on my 16" barrel it is not much louder than the blackout nonmount flashider i had on it. Also i don't think flash should be to bad at night out of a 14.5" or 16" barrel depending on the ammo used.

I had the dealer break torque on the A2 hider for me before I left the shop. Gonna chop the KAC VFG and sweet talk the wife into letting me get another T-1 and scout light; Ill be ready if we can ever find a place for magpul to teach another class here.

I wonder if KAC plans to sell complete lowers from the SR-15E3. I'd think there would be a market for them.

Just my opinion here, but you should really consider getting a Surefire X300 weapon light instead of the Scout. It's quite a bit cheaper and also considerably lighter in weight. And believe me when I say it's plenty bright! The last time I went hog hunting I was wanting to pick off a hog at night and used my X300 to easily light up an area where they usually hang out... it was across a pond and at least 100 meters away! Needless to say, my friend who was with me and myself were very impressed with the power of that little "handgun" weapon light (and FYI I didn't kill a hog that entire trip. I had stayed up until 2:00AM waiting for hogs to walk into my crosshairs that never came, and b/c I was up so late I friggin' overslept the next morning and missed my opportunity to kill lots of hogs while they were feeding that morning in the same spot I was lighting up with my my X300 the night before. Talk about being pissed off! I was also really embarrassed b/c the ranch hand kept making fun of me and said, "Only a damn city boy would sleep in when he's out hunting!")

I am also a HUGE fan of the KAC Finger stop. It only weighs something like 1.4 oz and helps me grip my rail in the same place very quickly and effortlessly every single time. I never used more than the first 1 inch of my VFGs anyways, and the rest of the VFG would go to waste and take up space and weighed 3X as much as the KAC finger stop too. The finger stop also allows me to pull the gun into my shoulder just as the VFG did previously.

Here's a pic of my SR-15 on the scale with my current setup. Notice the unbelievable light weight of it, even with all the accessories:

Note the shiny-ness of the Triple Tap. That was roughly 1,000 rounds before the pic I posted earlier in this thread.

BTW how do you like your SCAR? I've never handled one or even seen one in person. I'm curious as to how it shoots. Is it front-heavy due to the piston?

Here's a close-up pic of the KAC Finger Stop:

Not being all that informed concerning Knight's, what's the hole that appears in the lower just below the forward assist?
    I'm just curious is all.
