    Aimpoint M2 batteries

I am looking for some aimpoint M2 batteries. I looked around town at Walmart and Walgreens but they dont have the right ones.

    Has anyone found them local?

The 3N battery is kinda special so I figure I wont find one, mabye Best Buy has them but thats 20 mile drive one way for me. Ill probaly just have to order one from G&R or something. This makes me wish I would have gotten the M4 with it's AA batteries.

I have found them at Ace Hardware and Batteries Plus. I always carry a few extra in my range bag just in case.

    CR 1/3N Sanyo 3v Lithium

    $2.25 each from batterystation.com.

You might also check Target if you have one locally, or a Radio Shack - but be prepared to spend upwards of $10 for a single cell at those places. If you also need CR123As for your flashlights/weaponlights, order them cheap from Battery Station and toss a few of the 1/3N cells on the order with them. If you are a member of CandlePowerForums, you can get additional discounts from BS.

Battery Mart had them in stock for $5 - $6 with tax. Same place that carries auto batteries. I don't know if they are a national chain of not. Cheaper options online but if you want to walk out with them in your hand that same day not a bad deal.

My apologies, I was confused about what size the M2/M3 models took. The last set I bought from Batteries Plus.

Radio Shack has them but they are ridiculously priced. Get them online for considerably less.

I know it's been mentioned, but just to make sure everyone is tracking...

Aimpoint M3 and M4 series use 1/3N size batteries.

Oddly enough, they are N cell sized dimensions(11.5 diameter x 28mm length), but only about 1/3rd the length (10.8mm long), considering the button top.

Of more interesting battery facts, the 2032 (20mm diameter by 3.2mm height) coin cell used in the T1's has more capacity than a 1/3N cell (220 -ish versus 160 -ish mAh).

I got a couple M2 batteries at my local Radio Shack and I don't remember them being overpriced. I think I paid $2 or $3 each. It probably varies by state.
