I am really happy to see this.
It appears to be a great mounting solution without the unneeded height of a picatinny mount between the optic and the offset adapter.
Looking forward to working with one.
Now I guess I have to buy another T-1. Oh well, worse things to complain about I guess.

Holy Frak! I love you people on this website!

I literally logged on to post a question asking if anyone knew of a manufacturer for a rear sight base for my T1 to replace the J point I'm running atop it!

Now if they'll just sell the base/mount combo without the T1 on it so I can just transfer everything over. The other combo mount they have they don't seem to offer without buying the sight and mount together. Not very practical when you've already got the micro.

    Look at the ACOG Mount

That doesn't look like a standard LT100 mount. The latches are on the right side facing aft instead of the left side facing aft.

Does this mean they re-engineered the LT100 to make it work? Will I have to replace my two LT100s to do this?

The mount appears to be two-piece; a wrong-hander can apparently reverse it with the mounting arm over the latch.

Here is a pic of the Aimpoint prototype mount with a TA31F on an LT100:

Any idea on release date? 4th qtr 09 perhaps, or will we be drooling over nothing but photos for a while?

Is it just me or did they redesign the ACOG mount to have levers facing the other way?

    ETA: Yep.

The base in the picture is one of the pattern requested by the Australian Army. As we speak, the mount is being tweaked to work with a standard LT100 base.

Quality optics cost. Nothing unusual about that. S&B Short Dots cost more than most ARs.
