Yeah, the rifle wasn't exactly on a flat surface when I was taking that picture. The dot looks dim in comparison to the rest of the picture since I was taking those pictures inside, looking out of the kitchen window. Outside it's more bright and visible, but not as eye catching as the triangle reticle models are.

How are these for shooting at 300-500 yards. Is there a method of hold overs for the triangle. I like the scope but I would really need/want something with a BDC or at least a method for hold overs.
Matt
Everyone is always praising the triangle, but I really like this G#4 reticle. Instead of using the dot for speed, wouldn't it be faster to use the whole center area of the German reticle to acquire the target? For example, that car only looks to be about 20 yards away and it seems like one could quickly train the German center on the wheel without worrying about precisely where the dot is pointing....
I have the green dot German TR24. I didn't like it on a Noveske AR, the dot is very small in low light but great in sunlight.
However I swapped it to my deer rifle (Thompson Encore) and it's a perfect match!. Heavy german crosshairs are good in low light and the illuminated dot helps a lot.
I plan on buying the green triangle to put on a suppressed 77/44 hog rifle.
