    Thumbs up

That was outstanding in so many respects.

And I clean my rifle everytime, too. Not crazy in the slightest.

My first AR was given to me by my father when I got back from my first tour in Iraq. A BM mforgery with an A2 upper receiver, I will keep it forever. Plus it runs like a champ.

I look back so fondly on the time I spent with my father. Although he is rather ill and my time with him is waning, I appreciate my time at the range with him even more, even if it only lasts half an hour. (must be feeling sentimental...)

I'm one of those obsessive-compulsive persons. I HAVE to clean my Sig every 5000 rounds, whether it needs it or not...

    oh and btw Quib, outstanding!

Thanks Jason. And thanks for your service, from the entire Quib Family.

I get sentimental when I think about all the good times my son and I have had shooting together. He’s a senior this year, graduates next spring, and the mail box is filled daily with college prospects from all over the US.

When I left for basic my mother said someday I’ll understand what it feels like when your kids grow up and move out on their own. That day for me I feel is fast approaching.

I had my C7 carbine out as well yesterday. Added a few seconds of boring video footage....LOL.

Quib, good to see you out with your boy shooting. Mine will start here later this year or early next year. We're putting parts for his and my daughter's carbines together.

It's a great looking carbine. I've got a 723 clone that's a favorite - very similar to the one your son has, except mine has an A1/C7 upper.

My daughter is only 5 weeks old and has a G19 waiting for her. I'm building an AR for her and the wife is smiling and rolling her eyes at the same time. She agreed to let me build it but demands pink Magpul furniture........damn. One battle at a time.

Great stuff taking the boy out. That's always a good day.

My little guy is now 8 and still working with his Cricket. Really anxious to see the new S&W M15-22 as I think it will be light enough for him to shoot.

Where did you find the cleaning tray and screen? That's a great idea. I let the BCG soak in a tub while I clean the rifle, but that drip tray would make things a lot better.
