Larry Vickers is a retired career special operations soldier with 20-plus years of service to our country. Vickers Tactical Level-I Handgun Class - Los Angeles, CA - Jan 16-17th, 2010

Topics covered include handgun safety, stance, zeroing sights, sight alignment and trigger control. Familiarization with their handgun includes field stripping and maintenance. Other subject matter that is covered includes reloads, presentation, strong side & weak side shooting, shooting positions, use of cover, and introduction to different skill drills including dry fire and bullseye shooting. Malfunction drills and shooting on the move. Timed fire drills and evaluations based on class skill level.

- Class size: Maximum twenty students

Weapon & Gear Class Requirements:

- Eye and Ear Protection (electronic hearing protection is preferred)
- Serviceable handgun of at least 9mm Para caliber
- Serviceable holster
- Minimum one double magazine pouch / Ability to carry minimum of two magazines
- Minimum of three serviceable magazines (5 is better)
- 500 rounds of ammunition
- Suitable range wear depending on the season
- Good attitude

Is there some exception for having 10+ round magazines if you are there for training? Or am I going to have to buy a bunch of 10-rounders I will not really use again?
