As I recall its release to the public was done on a very limited scale. Don't know whether KAC will release more for public consumption, but I know that they were at one point tossing around the idea of making one out of a more common material than whatever type of Inconel they used.

Is the price tag really worth it for that comp?

I've heard it both ways. However, I have yet to hear from a person who OWNS one who is not thrilled with it. I guess if you're prepared to pay the price of entry, it is worth the beans. I would LOVE to see a H2H between the KAC Triple-Tap and the PWS FSC556. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Value is subjective. I've shot a rifle with it and thought it was a dang good brake. Is it worth $400 to me? No, mainly because I dont have $400 to spend on a brake. To other people it might be worth it.
