So let me get this straight. They shoot the guy in court, and now some time later they decide they are going to issue a warrant for his arrest.....after they shot him......IN COURT. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

    All,

Arkansas uses ALETA for their accreditation. Many states recognize Arkansas, some don't. We recognize many, not all. Our academy is generally 12-13 weeks with 16 weeks FTO, depending on the department.

Arkansas also allows reserve or part time officers who receive about 110-150 hours depending on who sponsors the course. This little town, if like a lot of small towns around here is nothing but a revenue agent for the "city". Small towns will sometimes have a bunch of officers, in this case 7 but it could be that 1 or 2 are full time, maybe 2 or 3 part time officers who can work up to 19 hours a week paid, and then 3-4 reserve officers who do it for free. Do not confuse this with a small, professional, 7 man department for a 2500 person town. This isn't the case.
