    Yup.

    LPR upper
    KAC non-ambi Titusville lower
    Nightforce 3.5-15 F1 in GDI mount
    LMT 762 DMR stock

    The current configuration is heavy but it's not intended to be used to run and gun much. However, the BCM grip is a huge help in managing the rifle when necessary. The LMT DMR stock is perfect for me because it allows me to easily switch it back and forth between my LMT MWS and my 556 guns with the Vltor A5 RE, which is all but one.

    Working on my personal SPRish gun. My goals were to:

    * Install a URX 4
    * Pin a KAC low profile gas block onto the 18" BCM 410SS barrel.
    * Relieve the URX 4 so that I can get the taper pins in the gas block.
    * Re-install Ops Inc 12th model etc.

    I picked up the barrel and upper from the Gun Gallery *years* ago. IIRC, Neil showed me how to install URXes with these parts. I didn't specifically pick out a black gas tube -- I ordered some and they came black. I won't complain though. :^)

    Start with the stripped parts from the original upper. Started life with a URX 3 then later a URX 3.1 with an off-the-shelf (Troy?) low profile gas block.

    Locate existing pin holes on the gas block, re-drill and ream for new taper pins. I used larger taper pins than the factory ones mainly because the tools were within arms reach.

    Lapped face of upper receiver -- may as well since I have the gun apart.

    There was some gunk on the upper that I couldn't wipe away so this is the upper after a few minutes in the ultrasonic cleaner.

    Not shown -- timed and installed URX 4.

    Mill a notch and drilled a hole in the URX 4 to accommodate taper pinning the gas block.

    Re-install Ops-Inc collar and brake.

    And ready to shoot today!

    Mk12 Mod what? :^P

    Is thread locker really necessary? The lock-up system is designed to put enough torque on the assembly that it will not come off. The system is very similar to any other rail that attaches to a torqued on barrel nut like the NSR, Geissele, etc. -- the obvious difference is that the rail and barrel nut are integrated.

    It doesn't need loctite.
    I use antisieze like on a regular barrel nut, and torque to not less than 60 ft/lbs.
