    Sweet!

I spent some time watching videos about it on YouTube today. Hopefully Brownell's ships it tomorrow but it probably won't be here until next week. Luckily I'm running the range on Tuesday and Thursday so I should be able to shoot it.

I have a really nice build with a Sionics RGP 11.5, Geissele, etc etc, but I just want a KAC. Just something special about them.

    Guys,

    I need some help here.

this is my first Knights build.

I bought a used 16inch barrel and bolt
    new bcg
    urx rail

going to have Marvin Pitts cut it down and pin.

which muzzle device should i go with?

carbine or a5 buffer set up?

Here are my thoughts, if you aren't throwing a can on it, the world is your oyster. HOWEVER, a KAC FS keeps it looking all KAC, which seems to be the theme for that upper. The three prong beast is awfully good looking, and works well.

Congrats on the 3.1, they are one of the best looking rails out there. You can see there are a few other companies who have gone with this look as well, though once again KAC was the innovator. This is also getting common for some companies who have old quad rail extrusion they are sitting on and can't move. Those companies tend to have rails that look like scabs were picked off to create smooth sides, the look is clearly that of an afterthought. KAC did it first, and best, and that rail simply knocks it out of the park.

You have a sand cutter BCG as well? You are a filthy primate, and I confess I am jealous!

Regarding your question of A5 or Carbine RE (Receiver Extension), I would strongly suggest you build up your upper and shoot it with one of your existing lowers. KAC created their weapons to work as a complete system, and you may find your weapon functions very well with a KAC weight buffer.

Congrats on your selection of parts! Like I said, I'm a bit on the jealous side.

KAC MAMS for that thing. Have MAMS on multiple rifles. If $ is an issue, I also have the QD 3 pronged flash hider on multiple rifles and have had no issues putting a KAC QD can on them.

Nefarious does great work but he is slllooowww.

Thank you for the replies and comments.

Stickman I’ve long admired your work thanks for the thoughts.

I should of clarified a few things.

Suppressor : I have a few socom’s But they are already set up for other rifles.

I have another 14.5 urx 3.1 build as well that is set up with a mini surefire and very similar to this. I love it so wanted to build a second and run a rds on this one while I have a 1-6 on the other.

This actually will make my 3rd urx 3.1 rail I also have an 11.5 but this is the first true kac parts build.

So I don’t feel this one needs a can. And at this point want to keep it knights as much as possible.

I am interested in the MAMS and leaning that way.

From those who own is it super obnoxious?

I’m assuming better than a true 90 degree brake but worse than a flashhider

At this point my intent for this rifle is to pin and weld.

I want a non nfa rifle that I can freely travel with. Ultra reliable and to use in training classes.

    Uppers

Should I just run a mur on this or try and find the real deal knights parts?

It’s not super obnoxious and I too have a pin and weld on my T36. I swapped out the 556 QDC that came with my SR15 with a MAMS too. It works really well, think you’ll like it.

I went with a billet (cross machine tool) on mine, and if my KAC tools hadn’t been stolen by a scum beatle I would kick around the idea of slapping a colt upper on it.

The muzzle device on that one is from Centurion Arms, and I’m pretty sure they have been released, but not positive.
