Yep, they come in the deluxe panel kit. I've had the same thought Jon, but haven't had a chance to try it due to my vfg being lent out to a friend at the moment.

They are available all by their lonesome as well.

I figured as much. I've found that if you want to run a handstop, you might as well get the deluxe kit. Gives you alot of flexibility to try out the different panels.

I've become a fan of the simple covers.
Of course, I file mine down and stipple them. Not because they need it, but mostly because my gear sits on my dining room table and it's a better use of my time than watching TV.

They'll be coming soon. There are a couple standard ones out there. They have a very slight angle to them. They'll be in production soon along with stubby versions.

    Pics on Lightfighter.

Those are the ones I want. The ones that are larger on one side. Then maybe a standard one or a hand stop model for the bottom for now. The 8.0 is just so short. I can go without a vert grip on a longer hand guard, but on the short ones, it just feels a bit more secure to me.

I wish the panels would have come with the upper like they did with my SR15's back in the day.

Is there anything in the works that might fit as far as vert grips? Also, I really need to get those panels and the handstop panel. That might help.
I'm in the same boat as well - I was hoping to run an AFG over that, but to do so I suspect I'll wind up having to go and machine one myself - a fun project and all, but not exactly what I was hoping to have to rely on.
