Nice setup and congrats on getting anything KAC in Cali.. I have 2 of the mod 2 14.5" carbines and had the new mams pinned and welded for legal length on them.
I wonder what buffer comes with the SR30 lowers, since the Mod 2 carbines as complete rifles or when purchasing the upper alone comes with their own buffer...that being said, you may want to confirm if it's the same functionally or worth the while to use the mod 2 carbine buffer in the SR30 lower you got ..hope that makes sense and may be of help for you.
Congrats again

CEASE FIRE! CEASE FIRE!
Lol okay didn't think my humor would get under your skin like that, so first and foremost let me apologize if what I said offended you. Figured theemoticon would alleviate any doubt about the intention behind that post.
No, you're right. This isn't TOS and most of us here are quite aware of the differences between the two sites. Nevertheless, nothing wrong with having a little sense of humor every now and again (I hope). The ///M3 reference is just a nod to my old stomping ground e46fantics.com, back when I used to frequent that site starting way back in early 2001 when I bought what would be my 3rd BMW at the time. I don't even want to think about the amount of money I spent trying to mod that car. Lol Come to think of it, it's also when I purchased my first handgun, which was an HK USP and I was a frequent visitor on HKPro as well (<---- you see what I did there?)
Anyway, none of that shit really matters I guess. So, as far as the "kid" comment goes, what can I say? I'm flattered! Considering I just retired after 20 years of active duty service, I can appreciate it when folks think of me as a young buck. Truth be told, i still get carded when I try to buy drinks. Must be the genes. In all seriousness, I spent the last 20 years serving in a combat arms branch and did a bit of time on the other side when assigned to an SMU, did multiple overseas tours and took home a pretty neat "battle scar" when I took a bullet for God and country. You want to know something really cool? I was using KAC gear in combat! How awesome is that? Love KAC products. If you flip through some of the pages in this thread I'm sure you'll find a few examples of the KAC products I own. I'd hang a few more pics up, but my wife is about to jump all over my ass if I don't hang these friggin' new blinds we just got today. In her view "retired" translates to more free labor for her. :roll eyes:
With regards to California, yeah I know that can be a sore spot for folks coming from there. Interesting thing is I enlisted out of Oakland MEPS back in '94, so California just happens to be my home of record. Honestly, I can't ever see myself going back there. Beautiful state, but the anti-gun liberal BS there just got too ridiculous from me to even consider it. Don't get me wrong. It's not like Colorado (where I currently hang my hat) is a totally free state. We're fighting to preserve our 2A rights as well. And if it ever gets too ridiculous here I might consider relocating, but it hasn't come to that point yet. I work as an independent contractor and our clients are primarily DoD, which requires me to travel quite a bit. I do believe Southern Cali is one of my stops this year, so if I'm in the neighborhood perhaps we can hang out and have a beer. I love meeting fellow M4C members and perhaps we can arrange that. First round is on me.
Again, sorry if I came across like an ass. Happy you can finally get a KAC where you are. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and opinions on it. And when you contact Ayan tell him Ed in Colorado says hi. If you're nice he might cut you a deal.![]()
Take care, amigo.

Fair enough Boba. Sorry about the kid comment and thank you for your service. I just get sick and tired of getting picked on because of the state I live in. I would move if i could, but at this time I am stuck here fending for myself. And if you're ever in so cal, round 2 is on me.
